While the general setup for Mine Games is admittedly cliche' the actual story is one that I haven't seen many places. This film took the setup for a typical slasher flick and went an entirely different direction with it, and I wasn't disappointed.
I've seen better, I've seen worse. Really not note worthy, but I remain unsure as to whether the acting or the writing is to blame for that.
This film is not effect-heavy, nor is it particularly artistic. That being said, it seems to have had a budget, and the fim quality is quite nice.
There's a definite air of futility with this one. By about half way through the movie, I wanted to punch the idiot protagonists in the mouths, because everything they do makes things worse, and all you can do is sit back and watch the lines connect.
Overall, Mine Games was a decent job at an interesting film, and for my stereotype fans, you should deffinately check it out. The only real problem I had with it, besides the fact that parts of it straight up don't make sence, is that overall it feels dumbed down. It almost gives of the sense that it's not quite finished, that someone working on this film got cut short.
